While most of you will not have been exposed to the British style of instruction, the Royal Air Force is considered one of the premier flight organizations in the world. Now I am not here to discuss the differences in style or culture, that is not the point here. However when it comes to IFR training, the point is made early on in the video, and more so since this video is dealing with primary training, which only serves to add credibility to what I have been saying all along. Precision flying skills are the most important skills you can acquire. It matters not if it is military or civil, the technique is sound, therefore, so is the practice, in primary, and in our case, IFR training.
You will notice very early on in the video that the instructor makes reference to the fact that one of the first things that the student should have done is "TRIMMED" the aircraft out. This skill is imperitive if you're IFR training is to be successful. If you have read through this site, or any of the articles I have penned, I can assure you that, throughout the world, aircraft training organizations will be drilling this so very important skill into the students head.
Enjoy the video.
